Author's Note: What began as a mission to spread the practice of safe and intelligent vinyasa flow yoga has evolved into an extraordinary quest of my heart. I initially thought The Perfect Chaturanga would be a simple yoga anatomy and injury prevention book but realized early on that there was so much more to share. From personal experience I have found that the study of the various branches of classical yoga and the practice of modern day hatha-vinyasa yoga can realistically and completely change a human life. The science, philosophy and practice of yoga encouraged me to ask the big questions: Who am I? Why am I here? What are my habitual patterns? How do I relate to the world around me? How does this amazing vehicle of mine, this perfectly working organism, this radiantly healthy, fabulously strong and supple body actually work? What is my dharma (my purpose) as I travel forth? This Self-inquiry that yoga inspired and required of me (and actually continues, even at this very moment, to demand of me) has enabled me to transform and heal in incredibly profound and deep ways. I am honored to share with you all the riches that I have experienced on my yogic journey. I thank you for letting me serve you.
